Note: Rupert Lee was one of the early pioneers of modern sculpture in England and worked alongside Frank Dobson in the sculpture department of the Westminster School of Art. In 1930 he arranged an ambitious exhibition of modern sculpture on the roof gardens of Selfridges - a show that included work by the young emerging sculptors like Moore, Hepworth and Maurice Lambert.
