Note: Gustave Paredis was a painter of still lifes, nudes and portraits. He was born in Liège and was a pupil of Jean Donnay at the Academy - he was influenced by the works of Richard Heintz and steered toward expressionism, but later developed a cubist style influenced by Georges Braque.
