Note: Roger Fry and Vanessa Bell had a significant and complex relationship that began as a passionate affair in 1911, which then evolved into a lifelong close friendship. Their relationship was a crucial influence on Bell's artistic development, particularly in her embrace of Post-Impressionism. Despite their romance ending when Bell fell in love with Duncan Grant, they remained close friends until Fry's death.
