Note: Rupert Lee worked closely with Roger Fry as President of the London Group during the 1920s and both were involved with curating the London Group retrospective in 1928. Lee also revealed his admiration for Fry's work in his reviews of Fry's solo exhibitions - Fry acknowledging that Lee was one of the few people to understand what he was trying to do in his work.
