Note: Fry met Larionov and Gontcharova in 1920 when in Paris. He wrote to his sister Margery, 'Gontcharova and Larionov have overwhelmed me with presents of their publications, with coloured lithographs etc.' Fry had made favourable comments on the Russian ballet which came to London in 1917.
