Half Remembered

After studying under Mark Gertler and Bernard Meninsky at the Westminster School of Art, Margaret Geddes went to Paris and developed an interest in Abstraction. She became a significant member of the post-war British abstract movement and exhibited annually alongside Patrick Heron, Roger Hilton, Peter Lanyon and others at the Redfern Gallery during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. For a fuller account of her life and career see Margaret Geddes: A Retrospective by Denys J. Wilcox, published by the Woodland's Art Gallery in 1998. To order a copy of this monograph (price £8.00) contact denys@courtgallery.com.

The Court Gallery represents the estate of Margaret Geddes (1914-1998) and further works are available for inspection on request.
